Lingacha Dongar
Overview
Lingacha Dongar is a moderate level trek, mainly done to witness the 7 tier step waterfalls of Marleshwar and also to witness the ancient cave temple of Lord Shiva. Temple lies approximately 750 meters above sea level, which is situated in Sahyadri Ranges. The trek involves way from dense forest, steep slopes and rugged terrain, Final section of trek is very very steep.
Unlike heavily crowded hill station, Lingacha Dongar trail offers raw, Sahyadri wilderness. There are no food stall or shop over trekking route so keep water and snacks in trekking bags is recommended.

History
The name Lingacha Dongar means Mountai Of Linga, which is given name because of natural rock formation resembling s Shiva Linga. Because of that, this mountain gain religious identity.

Trekking Route
Trekking route is moderately difficult.
You have to start the trek from base village named as Bhagat Wadi. You can park your vehicle there and you can also took local guide from the village.

Duration of Visit
Total trekking time is about 5-6 hours, which whole trek from start to finish
Total length of trek is about 8-9 kilometers
Total elevation gain is about 450 meter

Time To Visit
Best time to visit Lingacha Dongar is in monsoon and early period of post monsoon.
Months to visit Lingacha Donagr is July - October which is best for monsoon experience like intense greenery and active waterfall
October - February if you choose trek for better views, photography and comparatively comfortable trek
